White Graphics, a company specializing in custom printing solutions, such as, prototype packaging, point of sale displays, and product labels in Naperville, IL sought out Kellerman Consulting to help them acquire ISO 9001:2015 (International Organization for Standardization) certification to proactively satisfy the requirements of a key customer.
The Overview:
Custom print solutions company, White Graphics, engaged Kellerman Consulting to write and help implement their ISO 9001:2015 certification program in order to satisfy the quality management system requirements of an important customer they have been co-manufacturing for.
The Result
With the support of Kellerman Consulting, White Graphics passed their ISO 9001:2015 certification audit.
Our Process
Intake Process and ISO 9001:2015 Gap Assessment
- S.O.Ps and a solid description of White Graphics’ operational processes were provided to Kellerman Consulting to help provide the foundation for the ISO 9001:2015 program.
Program Development
- Tailored documents to meet ISO 9001:2015 standards were created and released to the client within 8 weeks.
- Documents were further customized to the client’s operation during implementation calls leading up to the audits.
Implementation
- Implementation calls were held weekly with the site’s President & CEO and the Vice President of Operations to review, explain, and tailor each program to fit their needs and operations.
Audit Preparation
- A site visit was conducted to complete a full in-person internal audit of the ISO:2015 program.
- Findings from the Internal Audit helped guide final efforts to prepare for the stage 1 audit and close identified gaps in the program.Â
- White Graphics passed the stage 1 ISO 9001:2015 audit ahead of their key customer visit.
- Their key customer requested additions to White Graphics’ program to incorporate elements of food safety programs, such as, food defense and security, crisis management, and adding a risk based assessment to their supplier approval program. Kellerman Consulting was able to help make these updates to White Graphics program, while also helping the White Graphics team make final preparations for their stage 2 audit.Â
- White Graphics passed a stage 2 audit very quickly after their stage 1 audit, with only 1 minor non-conformance noted.
