Harvest for the Hungry Non-Profit Attains GAP Certification
The Overview:
Harvest for the Hungry sought out Kellerman Consulting to write and implement their Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) certification program for their 61 acre farm to table operation in Freeport, Texas. Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) audits are voluntary third-party audits that verify that fruits and vegetables are produced, packed, handled, and stored to minimize food safety risk.
The Result
With individualized attention and support from Kellerman Consulting, Harvest for the Hungry gained their GAP certification with no findings.
“We appreciate the support from the Kellerman Consulting program. We are excited and grateful to be able to achieve GAP certification. Alvaro was a wonderful consultant. We cannot sing his praises enough”.
